Mutual Aid Rubbish Fire/ Cardiac Arrest

This day was a busy one for Bricksville Fire. Around 3:45pm, Bricksville Fire responded as Mutual Aid for Rock Ridge Fire for a large rubbish fire on Main Street in Rock Ridge. Engine 326 responded to the scene and began to help extinguish the fire. It was an easy extinguishment.

Then around 5:03pm, Bricksville Fire and EMS were dispatched to the scene of a cardiac arrest. A 53 year old male returned home after a long bike ride and fell to the ground with severe chest pains. His wife called 911. The only problem was Bricksville EMS and the next closest EMS agency were out getting slammed with calls. Bricksville Fire made due of the situation and got enough man power to start CPR, get an AED and revive the pateint before the next EMS agency arrived. Car 225, Rescue 125 and Rescue 126 responded to the scene. The patient is believed to make a full recovery.
