Injured Hiker

At approximatley 3:32pm, Bricksville Fire was dispatched to an injured hiker somewhere in the Larren County Nature Preserve. The victim didn't know where she was but knew that she wandered away from the trail. Car 225, Rescue 125, 126 and 127 responded to the call. Crews got the 6x6 ready and fromed a search party to increase their odds of finding the hiker. Rock Point Fire was also dispatched and brought Brush 430. Once a plan was formed the two teams went out and started the search. Within 15 minutes Rescue 127s crew found the injured hiker. Upon arrival it was noticed that she had a compund fracture with the tibula and a severe head wound. Crews began treatment on scene and loaded her on 127. It was a 10 minute trip back but crews safely got the pateint to safety. The hiker ended up with a minor concussion but is going to be okay.
